U14 Stage 2 Trials - Important Information
Date of Event Bayside East & Redlands Cricket Association: Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:54PM

Hi All,

U14: The next round of trials are scheduled to take place this weekend, Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd September 2019. Please note locations of the grounds.

Holland Park Cricket Club: (Whites Hill) Saturday 21st September. There is 1 turf and 1 synthetic pitch so please bring both your spikes and rubber soles.

Kianawah Park: Sunday 22nd September. Synthetic wicket only. Grounds 7 & 8.

Please note the slight change in times.

Registration for U14 starts at 8-00am and the 40 over matches start at 9-00am. The matches will finish approx 3-30pm.

Parent support is required to make the Stage 2 trials a success.

There is one parent from each team x 4 that has already been nominated to coordinate activites for the day for their team. This involves ensuring the team are interacting together, organised, warmed up and ready according the BEAR's supplied batting orders.

We will still need parents to help where able to set up the boundary markers, 1 x scorer per each match and 2 x parents to help umpire out in the middle. This helps to keep the costs of the Stage 2 trials at managable levels.  If you are umpring, please arrange to have another parent to cover for you if your child is batting.

What to bring:

Complete cricket kit, spikes, rubber soles, food, water and sun screen. Please note that we do not expect the canteen to be open at either locations.

Any parents who can offer to bring gazebos on the day to provide shelter would be helpful as there is very limited shelter at the ground.

We are playing real match like conditions. 40 overs per side with batting & bowling orders plus score books.

At the discretion of the selectors, the batsmen / bowlers may be invited back to the wicket at the fall of a wicket if deemed neccessary.

Batsmen may or may not be retired, again at the discretion of the selectors.

The BEAR's Committee would like to wish all those trialling the best of luck. We are looking forward to watching you all play some competitive and enjoyable days' of cricket at the Stage 2 trials.
