To all players trialling for this seasons BEARS U14 representative teams the BEARS executive wish you the very best as you put your skills on show. Thank you for supporting junior cricket in our region and we hope you gain valuable experience and further develop your skills by being a part of our selection process.BEARS will be selecting approximately 24 x U14 players to represent BEARS in the upcoming Rep Season.1 x BEARS U14 State Championship Team playing in Mackay- 16-20 December 20191 x BEARS U14 Development Team playing at the Sunshine Coast - TBC January 2020
Representative Trial ProcessStage 1 2019: COMPLETED!
Date: Sunday 17 March 2019Venue: Wynnum Cricket ClubTime:Two groups will be named with times relevant for each group.
No representative clothing of any description is allowed to be worn.
Who attends Stage 1 of trials?Last season's BEARS rep players (State & Development teams) AND ANY PLAYERS THAT RCI AND EDJCA AFFILIATED CLUBS NOMINATE TO ATTEND THE TRIALS.
This first week will include a net session and fielding drills to allow you to put your skills on show. It's also a chance for last season's rep players to meet again and 'warm up' prior to the 'match/game sense' simulation in Stage 2.If you are unable to attend this 1st stage of selection trials for any reason please contact Chris Davies
Depending on the size and skill level of the group some players may not be invited back to attend the 2nd trial stage.. Selectors and coaches will be discussing this with players at the end of the 1st session.

Teams will be posted on the BEARS website www.bears.org.au Further details of practice games and carnival logistics will be posted once teams are announced.
Please Note Costs for Carnivals: To help parents budget and plan ahead for the expenses associated with providing representative opportunities for children we have clearly listed the costs. Please make yourself aware of the costs prior to your child attending the trial process.
What to wear:
For each of the trial sessions players are required to wear their normal cricket whites. Either club cricket shirt or plain white or cream shirt. No representative clothing of any description is allowed to be worn. Tip for young players: The more professional you look the better.
Commitments if selected:
Please be aware of your obligations as a player if you are selected. There will be possibly 4 practice games on 4 consecutive Sundays commencing on 6th November as well as weekly training (start date yet to be confirmed) You will be required to be part of these important 'pre-carnival' games and training.
