BEARS Selection Process U13
ALL PLAYERS MUST BE NOMINATED BY THEIR CLUB
To all players trialling for this seasons BEARS U13 representative teams the BEARS executive wish you the very best as you put your skills on show. Thank you for supporting junior cricket in our region and we hope you gain valuable experience and further develop your skills by being a part of our selection process.
BEARS will be selecting approximately 36 x U13 players to represent BEARS in the upcoming Rep Season.

Please Note Costs for Carnivals: To help parents budget and plan ahead for the expenses associated with providing representative opportunities for children we will clearly list the costs. Please make yourself aware of the costs prior to your child attending the trial process.
Important Logistical Information for Players and Parents
To each session you attend please be sure to bring:
Your own cricket kits (including spikes) ; broad brim hat and or cap; sunscreen; water; food/snacks.
What to wear:
For each of the trial sessions players are required to wear their normal cricket whites.
No representative clothing of any description is allowed to be worn.
A plain white or cream shirt. No representative clothing of any description is allowed to be worn. Tip for young players: The more professional you look the better.
Commitments if selected:
Please be aware of your obligations as a player if you are selected. There will be practice and training games on 4 consecutive Sundays commencing in November as well as weekly training (start date yet to be confirmed) You will be required to be part of these important 'pre-carnival' games and training. Representative Trial Process
Stage 1: COMPLETED
Who attends Stage 1 of trials?
ANY PLAYERS THAT RCI AND EDJCA AFFILIATED CLUBS NOMINATE TO ATTEND THE TRIALS.
This first STAGE will include a net session and fielding drills to allow you to put your skills on show. It's also a chance for last season's rep players to meet again and 'warm up' prior to the 'match/game sense' simulation in Stage 2.
If you are unable to attend this 1st STAGE of selection trials for any reason please contact Chris Davies
Depending on the size and skill level of the group some players may not be invited back to attend the 2nd trial stage. Selectors and coaches will be discussing this with players at the end of the 1st session..
Stage 2: NAMES BELOW
Date: Sunday 8, 15, 22, 29 September 2019Venue:Kiawanah park, TingalpaTime: 9am - 4pmPlease Note all players from Stage 1 may not be invited back to Stage 2. Depending on the size and skill level of the group some players may not be invited back to attend the 2nd trial session. Selectors and coaches will be discussing this with players at the end of the 1st session. All invited players are required to take part in a Match/Game Sense simulation were players will be broken into teams to play against each other. Batting and Bowling orders and logistics of the session is at the discretion of the selectors.Players selected for Stage 2 matches & the teams are as follows:

New Players Day (U13 Only)Date: TBCVenue: TBCTime: TBCWho Attends?All "New Players" must be signed with a BEARS affiliated club for the 2019-20 season and you must be nominated by your club prior to attending. Please contact your current junior club or coach to confirm you have been nominated.As this session is for "New Players" returning representative players are not required to attend. Hence you should only attend if you were not selected in
(Please note that as all U12 players are "New Players" they will be treated as a separate selection process and are not required to attend. Like wise a separate process for U15 is also in place.)
What Happens Next?Upon attending the 'New Player' session you may or may not be invited to the 1st week of the selection trials. You will be notified within 72 hours of the 'New Player' session if you are required to attend the 1st week of selection trials.
