Congratulations to your boys for being selected in a BEARS u13 Development Carnival side for 2020-21.  This is a fantastic achievement and we trust they will have an enjoyable and memorable experience (both on and off the field).

PLEASE NOTE: there will be training at Holland Park this Sunday (15/11/2020) from 3 to 5 for the teams to get to know each other.

In addition - 22nd November 2020 - Practice Matches
u13 Development x 2 at Everton Districts CC, Kenna Street Park, West Chermside.
Games to commence at 9.00am.

There are 2 sides participating with 1 side going to Ballina and the other participating in the Les Kinnane cup - the sides are identified below.

At this stage final costings are not known.  As soon as they are available, you will be required to register and pay.  In addition to the compulsory carnival costs (which will include Bears uniforms), you will be able to purchase some optional items.
  • New BEARS kit bag (as shown in the attachment) - $170.
  • Back packs - $45
  • Water bottles - $12 each
These optional items can be purchased as part of the registration process (when available).

Each team requires a Coach and Manager.  We are seeking expressions of interest from parents.  The coach will preferably hold a level 1 coaching certificate.  All positions will require a current blue card.  If you are able to assist, please email coaching.director@bears.org.au.  We will provide contact details to the coaches and managers and it will then be up to them to arrange training (if team wants to) or additional practice match against the other side etc.  The team may also allocate a single scorer or you may wish to share these duties.

The selected teams are available from the following link:

In addition, 5 shadow players have been selected and will be utilised first in the event players are not available or injured:

Shadows

  1. Lucas D’Amore 26
  2. Lachlan Smith 98
  3. Harrison Shepherd 93
  4. Lewis Mcmahon 68
  5. Max Jones 58

Once again, the BEARS Executive wish all the boys the best of luck.
